Experience
I have some experience teaching elementary math, all levels of Portuguese, and English as a second language. After my experience as an English teacher in Brazil I discovered my passion for the art of teaching and that experience highly influenced my decision to apply for a Ph.D. program in the hope of becoming a university professor at the end of this journey. Currently I am a comparative politics teaching assistant at University of Florida, giving lessons to approximately 50 undergraduate students. My student evaluations have been overwhelmingly positive, and I scored a 4.7/5.0 on overall ratings. I don't have a car so unfortunately students must live either at a distance that is close enough for me to bike to or be available to meet at public areas in Gainesville (like coffee shops, libraries, etc). I want to be a tutor because I hold warm memories of those teachers who enabled me to become a better student by providing me with guidance and discipline. I hope to be able to have a similar impact on those who take tutoring lessons with me. Thank you!

Hobbies
I'm in love with origami and have previously taught it in schools and privately. Origami is the art of paper folding and I like using it to make mobiles, decorations and interesting geometric shapes. Apart from that, whenever I have free time I love reading novels, trying out new recipes and watching movies!
