ACT: 34 DAT AA: 23 DAT PAT: 26 DAT Total Science: 21 DAT Reading: 30 DAT QR: 18 Experience: I spent 2 years at UNC working with elementary school students in a fun after-school science camp to supplement their classroom science lessons. I have worked as a teaching assistant for dental students at UNC in microbiology. I have also mentored high school students in microbiology labs on a one-on-one basis. While I do not have any formal teaching training, I am good at explaining things in a way that sticks. Since I am in professional school, I am very familiar with the challenges of being a student and I have learned many techniques to learn efficiently that I can pass along to you. While my overall goal is to help you understand the material, I also want to help you to start getting A's on tests! I am comfortable tutoring any student in any age range. My "best subject" is biology, and I have achieved a depth of knowledge that makes me feel comfortable tutoring any level of biology up to professional school. I am also comfortable tutoring any college psychology class. I am confident with college general chemistry. For high school, I feel comfortable helping with AP biology or chemistry, or any other science classes except for computer science. I am also comfortable teaching any science, algebra, reading, writing, or social science classes from elementary school through middle school.
