I know that science and math courses can be difficult to understand but I know that with the proper assistance any student can excel in these fields. I enjoy coming up with new ways to explain concepts to others and creating systems for better understanding. Tutoring can change a student’s life and increase their aspirations for the future. The extra attention I received from my middle school Algebra teacher showed me that I was more intelligent than I ever imagined. Many students are unable to see their true potential, but this can all change with the proper instruction. I believe there is no subject too difficult for any student, it is only a matter of figuring out their unique way of understanding. I was Duval County Public Schools’ Scholar Athlete of the Week in 2013. I was assistant Vice President of Education in my fraternity, Pi Lambda Phi, the same year we were ranked 3rd highest house GPA on campus. I was salutatorian of my academic magnet high school while playing varsity and club sports year-round. I was an AP Scholar with distinction. My freshman year of college I was pledge class president of my fraternity and maintained a 4.0 GPA while taking fifteen credit hours. I’ve led workshops on time-management, public speaking, organization, and learning techniques.
