EducationGraduated from the University of Florida in 2007 and majored in History. Have been a 9th-12th grade math teacher for the last seven years.
ExperienceI've tutored grades K-12 and worked with kids who struggled with learning disabilities to kids in IB programs. I've also tutored college algebra.
I've been a GED teacher for the School Board of Alachua County for the past seven years and have taught the advanced high school level math, science, social studies, reading and writing classes. I also tutored high school students for the SAT at Palo Alto High School.
My senior internship at Florida was spent teaching autistic children and children with ADHD.
HobbiesMy hobbies include running, crossfit and I love attending Gator sporting events.
I'm an energetic, 30-year-old and like to think I come across as mildly entertaining to my students. My approach to teaching differs a little from other educators and I strive to present material, especially mathematics, in an easy to learn fashion that enables long-term retention. The number one compliment I get from students is that coursework that they couldn't understand with former educators is now understandable.
As a teacher through the school board, I've already undergone criminal and background checks and am still currently serving as a teacher after seven years. My rate is $40/hr.
