I am a tutor who excels in the maths and sciences. I'm available to tutor algebra, calculus, geometry, middle school math, trigonometry, astronomy, mechanical engineering, computer science, and a multitude of other subjects. I can also help students with their German. I received my degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida. While I was an undergraduate student I helped Santa Fe College students with pre-calculus and tutored algebra for students in middle school. Both of my parents are teachers, and I've been passionate about teaching others since I was young. I've been teaching and mentoring my younger siblings throughout my whole life. I find that teaching is a great way of strengthening your own understanding of the subject material. As a tutor I try to instill confidence in all of my students. I want my students to be able to approach difficult problems or subject material without succumbing to their fear of failure. I break down the complex concepts we are looking at and reveal their simple elements. When I'm not tutoring I like to be active and spend time outdoors. I like to swim, bike, camp, and hike. I'm also interested in astronomy, and I like to take photographs of space.
